Festive Pan Fried Brussel Sprouts with Sticky Gochujang Sauce



1 cups Brussel sprouts, clean and cut half
2 tbsp tempura flour (or plain flour)
1 tbsp korean chilli flakes #gochugaru (or any chilli flakes you have indoor)
Pinch salt and pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 red onion, think sliced
Spicy Sauce
1 tbsp Gochujang paste
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soysauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Some finely chopped green onion


  1. Add Brussel sprouts in a mixing bowl, add flour, chilli flakes, vegetable oil, salt and pepper and mix well.
  2. Add some vegetable oil on a medium heat pan, pan fry brussel sprouts on both sides until nice and golden, add red onion and quick stir.
  3. Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a mixing bowl then add it into the pan. Mix well.
  4. ​Sprinkle some sesame seeds and spring onion before serve.
