Super Easy Vanilla Custard Puffs


1 sheet Puff Pastry *thawed
2-3 Egg Yolks
3-4 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Plain Flour
1 cup Milk *warmed
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Icing Sugar for dusting


1- Make Vanilla Custard first. Place Egg Yolks and Sugar in a saucepan and mix well. Add Flour and mix well. Add warmed Milk and mix well. Cook over a medium to low heat, stirring constantly until custard comes to the boil and thickens. Allow to cool.

2- *Note: Custard can be quickly made in the microwave.

3- Cut Puff Pastry sheet into 3-4cm squares. Place on a baking tray, and bake in the oven at 180℃ for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

4- Sandwich the Custard with 2 pieces of Puff Pastry. Dust with Icing Sugar.
