Cheese and Gravy Chip Butty

4 slices buttered bread
400-450 g potatoes
100 g grated cheese
cube Beef stock
cube Chicken stock
500 ml boiling water
60 g butter
4 tbsp plain flour
1/2 tsp garlic granules
1/2 tsp Black pepper
Black pepper to taste
Salt to taste

1- Preheat oven to 190°C/170°C fan. Boil water for chips.

2- Peel and cut potatoes, parboil for 5 minutes.

3- Spray baking tray with frylight and bake chips for 50 minutes, turning chips every 5-10 minutes.

4- Meanwhile, to make the Gravy, crumble the stock cubes in the boiling water and stir.

5- Melt butter in a saucepan on a mid-heat.

6- Add flour, garlic granules and black pepper, stir well with a wooden spoon or whisk.

7- Slowly incorporate liquid stock whilst stirring. Once incorporated, add the rest of the liquid and continue to mix.

8- Continue to stir on heat for 5 minutes or longer to thicken. Taste and more salt and/or black pepper as needed.

9- Pour Gravy on chips and add cheese. Reserve some Gravy and cheese. Make sandwiches and flip upside down to eat (The Gravy can make the bottom slice fall apart otherwise).

10- In another bowl, put the remaining Gravy, chips and cheese. If needed, microwave for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
