Sausage pasta bake in tomato cream sauce



2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 onion, chopped
2 sausages, sliced
160 g pasta of your choice
1 tbsp oil
1 can chopped tomato (400g)
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp sugar
150 ml heavy/whipping cream
100 g grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp coarse salt (for seasoning)
Chopped parsley (for garnish)


1- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.

2- Boil the pasta for 2 mins less than the suggested cooking time on the package. Drain and rinse the cooked pasta.

3- In a pot, heat some oil then add in minced garlic and chopped onions. Fry until fragrant.

4- Add in sausages, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and heavy/whipping cream.

5- Stir to combine the ingredients, then cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 5-8 mins.

6- Add in cooked pasta, season with salt and stir to mix thoroughly.

7- Pour the pasta into baking dishes and top with cheese.

8- Transfer the baking dishes to a preheated oven at 200ºC. Bake for 10-15 mins.

​9- Garnish the freshly baked pasta with chopped parsley. Serve warm!
