Baked egg and bacon tarts for breakfast



1 sheet readymade shortcut pastry
4 eggs
rashers Streaky bacon


1- Preheat oven at 180C.
2- Bring pastry to room temperature.
3- Prep a muffin tin with a light spray if oil inside to prevent sticking.

4- Roll out pasty and cut using a cookie cutter to the size that fits your muffin tin.
5- I made just 4 here but you can make as many as you like and use all of the pastry sheet. If you choose to only make 2 or 4 then just roll the extra pastry back into a ball and put in the fridge to use for another recipe.

6- Place your pastry in your muffin tin. Cut bacon to lay a strip across and fit into the cup

7- Crack in your eggs and season with black pepper.

8- Bake at 180C for 20 mins, or as advised on the pastry packaging. Some might advise a higher temperature it longer time, so follow that guidance.
